Evren Göknar began his professional career as a recording and mixing engineer. As a staff engineer at Paramount Studios (Hollywood) and Guess Recording (North Hollywood), he recorded and engineered sessions for Tupac Shakur, Tone-Loc, Mavis Staples, The Cult, Steve Vai, General Public, Carol King and Montell Jordan. Building on the skills he honed as a recording engineer, Evren shifted his focus to mastering and in 1995 he joined the Capitol Mastering family.

Over thirteen years Evren has established himself as a top tier mastering engineer for such notable EMI acts as Eazy E, Iggy Pop, Gure, Heart, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, George Clinton, Jimmy Eat World, George Thorogood, N.W.A. and Fiend. His remastering credits include the entire Grand Funk Railroad and Queensryche catalogs, as well as RIAA gold awards for new collections by Pat Benetar and Poison.

Outside of the EMI family, Evren has mastered hundreds of records by a wide range of artists including a #1 single (RIAA gold) for Mariah Carey. His recent credits include new releases by Greg Laswell, The Grouch, Reel Big Fish and the re-united Asia.
